Hanna Park Engagement Session

Beachy engagement session at gorgeous Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park.

Hanna Park Engagement Session in Atlantic Beach, FL

Hanna Park is one of my fave spots for engagement photos! I know, I know. Everyone is getting photos done on the beach at sunset, what makes Hanna Park so special? First of all, this is Florida. In my opinion, the best days include salt water and sandy toes. I will be your beach photographer any day. More importantly, Hanna Park has a lot to offer in terms of engagement photos. Let’s dive in. (See what I did there?)

Beaches can be crowded, especially weekends in the summer time. Which is one of the many reasons I schedule engagement sessions during the week. Even so, there are so many little sandy nooks at Hanna Park that it often feels like we’re the only ones on the beach. This is exactly what happened at Meghan and Stephen’s engagement session. We were able to move around the beach without having to work around other beachgoers. Sometimes it’s a little awkward being all romantic and sappy when there’s an audience so this is definitely a perk! Sure, I’m there too but you’ll hardly notice me ;)

My fave locations for photo sessions all come down to versatility.

Hanna Park has a variety of locations for engagement photos. And this might sound strange but I love a good parking lot, especially where palm trees are involved. At the right time, the parking lots at Hanna Park are empty. I promise you, parking lots can be magical for photos. Hell, with the right skills, photographers can make any location look magical. Parking lots are my magic place and Hanna Park’s got ’em.

Can we talk about that Lifeguard building?? It’s the perfect backdrop for relaxed beachy engagement photos. The sun started to set just behind the building and that light was just *chef’s kiss* perfection. Don’t get me wrong, I am a HUGE fan of overcast days. Dare I say, I prefer overcast to golden hour. Gasp! But, that sun? On this beach? MAGIC.

I am so looking forward to Meghan and Stephen’s wedding, NEXT WEEK. Yes, I’m finally catching up on engagement blog posts. Apparently being the parent of a toddler is a lot of work…I’d love to say I’ve figured out this whole time management thing but clearly, there’s no such thing. Yay, parenthood!

Hi, I'm Franki.

I love photographing people that are just simply in love. I live for new experiences and different cultures, and I care deeply for the environment. Some of my favorite days are spent exploring nearby hiking trails with my husband, Ben.
