Golf Club of Amelia Island Wedding

What an amazing wedding last Saturday at the Golf Club of Amelia Island! Katie and Austin were by far, the two most excited people I’ve ever seen get married. It was nonstop smiles, laughs, a few tears. Although, I wasn’t expecting anything less after our pre-wedding meeting, where we basically talked about our favorite Office episodes for an hour. Their friends and family were equally wonderful. And they couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day to get married (just 2 days earlier, it was a dreadful 106 degrees!).

Austin’s father performed the ceremony. I love when friends or family officiate, they always add that personal touch. Bonus, they get a front row seat to the whole shebang! The ceremony was right on the green under a gorgeous oak tree, with the sun moving in and out. After the ceremony, everyone moved onto cocktail hour on the clubhouse patio and enjoyed the beautiful sunset.

Golf Club of Amelia Island offers a variety of wedding setups and I have to say, this was probably one of the most unique I’ve seen. After dinner and cake inside, the entire wedding moved back outside for dancing. The night sky and twinkle lights provided a romantic backdrop for Katie and Austin’s first dance. Everything was just perfect.
