Embassy Suites St Augustine Wedding

This beachfront wedding was overflowing with happy tears and elegance.

This Embassy Suites St Augustine wedding was just overflowing with emotions! I don’t think I’ve ever photographed a wedding with so many happy tears. I LIVE for these emotional weddings. You could just feel the sweet connections Meghan and Stephen had with all of their closest people.

We started in the bridal suite, which was full of beautiful glow-y light. This wedding had quite a few first looks with various people and I loved every sweet reaction. Meghan, of course, made a gorgeous bride. And her dad’s reaction was probably my favorite of the day. She had gifted him this beautiful painting of her grandparents with her in her wedding dress. You know I love a sentimental couple. Meghan even had her grandmother’s pearls wrapped around her bouquet. It’s those little details that just make the day so much more special.

There was a last minute change of plans due to some weather damage at the venue so the ceremony was moved to the upper courtyard. The courtyard was absolutely beautiful and bonus(!) was shielded from the wind that was blowing with a vengeance down by the old ceremony site. I’m sure the old ceremony site would have been lovely but this courtyard ceremony was just perfect.

After the ceremony, we moved onto the ballroom for the reception. There were shades of green with gold accents throughout. I love a good gold accent. If used correctly, it can instantly elevate the entire room. The super glamorous light fixtures didn’t hurt either! The entire room was just dripping with elegance. Just the perfect setting for Meghan and Stephen’s celebration.

Congratulations to Meghan and Stephen! I am so very happy for you both and feel so lucky to have been a part of such an important day.
