The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville: Waterfront Views & Wedding Perfection.
Emily and Anthony’s fall wedding took place at The Hyatt Regency in Jacksonville and wow! From Emily’s GORGEOUS flower crown to the absolutely perfect sunset ceremony (fall sunsets just hit different…), the autumn vibes were in full swing. And, spoiler, there were surprise lights in Emily’s dress at the reception(!) during the upbeat first dance. I mean, come on. The only thing cooler might have been the bowls of legos on each table. If this isn’t the definition of cool, I don’t know what is.
Let’s talk about the Hyatt because, you know your girl loves an all-in-one venue. I’ll be honest. I hadn’t photographed a wedding there before and was expecting just your run of the mill hotel wedding. Saying I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Let’s discuss.
5 Reasons to have your wedding at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville
1. Unbeatable Views of the St. Johns River
Let’s talk about that view, shall we? The Hyatt Regency sits right along the St. Johns River, meaning you’ll get dreamy sunset backdrops and cityscape views for your wedding photos—because nothing says “I do” quite like a dramatic sunset. And that bridge in the background? I mean. It’s iconic Jacksonville. Don’t believe me? Keep scrolling for an “I told you so” via photos…
2. Room for Everyone—Literally
This venue has a variety of spaces to choose from. So whether you’ve invited 50 guests or 500, the Hyatt can accommodate them all. Want an intimate ceremony on a terrace? Done (and in my opinion, the best use of the space). Need a ballroom the size of a football field? They’ve got it. Plus, your guests won’t be wandering around looking for parking (hello, on-site valet!) or hotels nearby—because they can stay right at the venue. You know what that means, right? You can tell everyone to party as hard as they want.
3. Rain? No Problem!
If you’ve spent any time in Florida, you know the weather is unpredictable. You plan for a sunny riverside wedding, but suddenly you’re checking the radar every five minutes because a storm is looming. You don’t need that kind of stress on your wedding day. The Hyatt has a plethora of beautiful indoor options. Simply put, if it’s rainy, your grandma won’t have to deal with 95% humidity in her best pearls. You’re welcome, Grandma.
4. Food That Doesn’t Disappoint
You know how some wedding venues serve food that’s just…edible but forgettable? That’s not happening here. The Hyatt’s catering team can customize a menu to impress the pickiest of guests, if that’s what you’re going for. And since you can work with them to craft the perfect reflection of your love in food, you can have everything from elegant hors d’oeuvres to a late-night taco bar. And let’s not forget dietary restrictions, delicious AND accommodating. Win-win.
5. The Best Instagram Moments
Okay, no matter what your relationship with social media, you’ve got to acknowledge that people love posting photos of themselves at weddings because they’re just so darn pretty. The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville isn’t just a wedding venue—it’s an Instagram backdrop on steroids. Your bridal party will be snapping selfies in every corner, and even your cousin that’s “too cool for social media” will be all over Instagram with the hashtag #BestWeddingEver. And did I mention the rooftop pool? Yep, that’s a thing.
Bonus: Perfect Location for Exploring Jax
In the heart of downtown Jacksonville, the Hyatt Regency puts you right in the middle of all the action. Whether it’s bar-hopping in the nightlife district or enjoying a picnic on the waterfront, your guests will have plenty to do nearby. It’s the ideal location for guests who want to turn your wedding into a mini vacation. You’d definitely be doing them a favor. That’s just facts.
But don’t take my word for it…
