Including gorgeous fake flowers that you’d swear were real.
Spring is one of the best times of year. Birds are singing, flowers are starting to bloom, you can go outside in short sleeves (if you live in the south)… Sure, those of us with allergies might be a little hesitant to jump on the “I love spring” bandwagon but you can’t deny that refreshing sense of renewal that comes with each new flower bud. There’s just so much damn hope in the air, you almost want to revisit those resolutions you gave up on a few months ago. Spring is the PERFECT time for a wedding because weddings are also a beginning (yes, I know how cheesy wedding blogs are, thank you very much!). This wedding at Jenny’s Ridge in Folkston, GA is the epitome of spring. In fact, it looks like spring threw up all over this wedding and I AM HERE FOR IT.
So, let’s talk colors. First up, peach (a bold color, if you ask me). You can see peach in the linens, flowers, and the majority of details throughout the wedding. Very bright, very spring. Our bride and groom here (sparingly) used a variety of greens for a pop. You can see a bright green on the second tier of the cake and a teal shade on some bridesmaid dresses, but my favorite is the *subtle* green of the coke glasses on the tables.
And speaking of the tables…how adorable are those little jars of honey?? In our house, we put honey in everything. Something about it being a natural sugar cancels out all the calories, right? I’ll tell you right now, people love food and they love small jars. Honey is a fantastic idea for a wedding favor. Personally, I am partial to wedding favors you can eat. I think we all have that drawer full of bottle openers and koozies that we just can’t bring ourselves to throw away – because memories. Food favors are the new jordan almonds. Wait a minute…
And finally, let’s take a look at those flowers. I know the fake flower debate is a never ending one. Bottom line, fake flowers have the potential to look amazing or they can look…fake. It’s all about variety and arrangement. The colors and flower choice of these centerpieces and bouquets work SO well together and photographed beautifully.

As is inevitable with spring, the sun decided to set pretty quickly. That pesky sun… This is why it is SO important to hire a photographer that knows how to handle different lighting situations. We were able to take a few night shots before heading to the reception.
