Not Your Average 50th Birthday Party

A few weeks ago I headed out to New Jersey to shoot my uncle’s 50th birthday. Once in a while, it’s nice shooting family events because the photos are always so personal. My aunt had put so much thought into the party and even rented a tent, doing it up backyard style. Good thing, too, because 5 minutes in it started to rain, not that that interfered with all the excitement. I hid behind my camera for most of the night but found a minute here and there to take dance breaks. My aunt and uncle definitely know how to party. Case in point, a surprise belly dancer showed up to entertain, putting us all to shame btw, but that didn’t stop anyone from showing off their best moves!
