My initial reaction to my cousin’s request to shoot his engagement photos was a resounding “oh no.” You see, Mike is a talented wedding photographer himself. I was sure he’d be observing and critiquing my every move. Thankfully, I could not have been more wrong (and this is one of the few times I’ll actually admit it!). Mike and Sarah were completely relaxed and let me boss them around for a bit. If you know me personally, than you know how much I love barking orders. And when people listen? Heaven. Obviously I’m kidding. Or am I? Moving along…
We walked around the Bayard Cutting Arboretum for an hour or so but I could have hung out there all day. These two were all smiles for most of the shoot. Sometimes I try to get some more serious photos of my couples but I just love when personalities are bursting through pensive expressions, “model-face,” if you will. Mike and Sarah have pretty great personalities.
I am so happy for Mike and Sarah, they compliment each other quite nicely. I’m sure they are still on their honeymoon, they were married two weeks ago. And these two, by the way, know how to throw/enjoy a wedding. I got to be a guest at this wedding and may have let loose on the dance floor for a bit. It was fantastic.
