Gorgeous Ponte Vedra Beach wedding with stunning outdoor ceremony and intimate reception.
There are a number of gorgeous wedding venues in Northeast Florida and Crosswater Hall at Nocatee is no exception. Ponte Vedra Beach in general is amazing and tropical and I love when weddings take me to this town.
I’m sure I’m starting to sound like a broken record but I can’t say it enough, I love weddings with a tropical vibe! The landscaping at Crosswater Hall at Nocatee includes towering palm trees and fuchsia tea tree plants, a perfect setting for a Florida wedding.
Crosswater Hall at Nocatee is the ideal outdoor wedding venue.
Josh and Candice had their ceremony and cocktail hour on the lawn, aka The Green. The lawn is generally very private and perfect for an easy ceremony to cocktail hour transition. Most couples opt to have lawn games, which is always fun for guests. Lawn games are also a great option if you’re having a dry wedding, as it gives your guests something to do to pass the time while you’re getting your photos taken.
The ceremony was full of personal touches, which I love. With Pinterest being a thing, it’s so easy for weddings to start looking the same. When couples add a little personality to their day, it makes the wedding that much more unique. Josh and Candice chose to have Josh’s dad officiate the wedding and they decided to each sign their family bible in place of a unity ceremony. Candice was probably one of the most emotional brides I’ve ever photographed, which as a photographer, I just loved.
The Nocatee Room makes for an impressive wedding reception.
Of course, it’s not all palm trees. The Nocatee Room has rustic chandeliers and warm lighting to make your reception feel intimate and cozy. And bonus, should it rain, the reception space is a beautiful plan b for the ceremony. I tell all my couples when searching for a venue (especially in Florida) to consider what your rain plan is going to be. Most venues have covered spaces for this very situation but it’s not always the best looking option. The Nocatee is great for receptions AND ceremonies.
The gold details were STUNNING against the navy blue linens. And that cupcake bar? I’ll tell you what, it is so hard photographing the dessert tables and cakes at these weddings because the smell of buttercream is my other happy place. I’m a sucker for a good dessert table.
Enough about my dessert addiction… Take a look at some of my faves from this beautiful wedding.
