Setting Goals and Indulging in Eggnog

The thing I hate about the holidays is that they’re over before I even have a chance to watch the 517632153 Christmas movies or get my fill of eggnog (nog-aholic here). When I was younger, my family always left the decorations up until after January 6th, the Epiphany. It was never really celebrated by my family but this day was imprinted in my mind as the end of Christmas. This year, we’ll be leaving the tree up a little longer as we still have some celebrating to do but I’ve already begun to embrace the new year. I’m well on my way to meeting my 2014 resolutions, exactly where’d you expect someone to be on day 6.

I’m looking forward to all of the business changes I’ll be making and the new vendors I’ll be working with. Thankfully, my apartment, which takes up a lot of my valuable thinking time, is finished. That’s right. Finished. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to say those words in my life! Energy previously spent on decorating my apartment can now be spent bettering my business. I’m almost afraid to write this (for fear that someone will hold me accountable), but this year, I’m going to focus on consistently creating new blog content weekly. No more excuses. This is a goal of mine every year but this year, you guys know about it. I’ll be too embarrassed if I don’t follow through.

For now, I’ll leave you with the newest addition to my tree. I have to get back to baking cookies and indulging in spiked eggnog.
