I had the pleasure of shooting Lindsey and Ryan’s wedding in April. Lindsey is one of my closest friends and to be able to witness the entire day up close was such a privilege. I was on the verge of tears all day but, for the sake of the photos, I was able to keep it together.
Lindsey was one of the most relaxed brides I had ever seen. I was talking to Haley, one of the bridesmaids, about the dresses and was surprised to learn that Lindsey (for the most part) left the decision up to them. Lucky for her, they made an excellent choice.
Throughout the few days leading up to the wedding, Lindsey kept her cool and she wasn’t the only one. Ryan couldn’t have been more relaxed. They were so confident in themselves and in their marriage that the only thing left to do was to enjoy each other and the memorable day they had planned. I think deep down, they were just secretly waiting for the wedding to be over so they could enjoy their honeymoon in Hawaii!
Lindsey and Ryan decided to do a first look before the ceremony.
Lindsey’s grandfather was the minister who performed the services. The wedding was held in Indialantic, Florida and we were fortunate to get through the entire ceremony without a single drop of rain.
The day moved so quickly and, despite some serious camera glitches between the ceremony and the reception, everything ran quite smoothly. Duct tape played a very important role… Thank you, Ryan and Lindsey, for trusting me with such a huge responsibility on your wedding day and giving me a VIP pass to one of the most important days of your life together.
